Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.1% Aug 21–Mon, 2.4% since Jan 1
MOSCOW, Aug 29 (PRIME) -- Russian consumer prices increased 0.1% from August 21 through Monday, and inflation reached 2.4% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Wednesday.
In the reported week, prices for millet and pork rose by 1.2%, for eggs by 0.5%, for beef, lamb, chicken, canned meat, rye bread, sunflower oil, pasta and salt by 0.2–0.3%
Sugar, buckwheat, noodle and rice prices fell 0.2%.
Prices for fruit and vegetables dropped 2.5% on average.
Gasoline and diesel fuel prices remained almost flat.
